- Highlights:
- The project has now moved to Laayoune camp and secured long-term rights to a large piece of land.
- A new well has been built — a huge step forward, giving the project its own reliable water source.
- The 100-metre polytunnel is up and already growing crops, with space outside the tunnel being used too.
- Fencing has been added to protect the crops from goats, and the team has even rented a vehicle to help deliver produce around the camps.
- The project will be growing a mix of veg, including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, aubergines, onions, potatoes, lettuce, mint, and more.
- Fundraising events like the Big Ramble 2, yard sales, marathons, and community events helped make all this possible.
- A big thank-you goes out to supporters, including a second grant from Unicorn Grocery.
- Next steps:
- Keep building up regular monthly supporters to help cover running costs.
- Continue fundraising and spreading the word.
